Role Overview

The Senior Product Designer, Learning will take charge and help shape the future of our learning modules in our apps. The Senior Product Designer, Learning will be responsible for delivering the best user experience, contributing to our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions that will improve the user interface and user experience.

  • Apply an advanced user-centered design process, based on deep data-driven insights complemented with the talent and creativity needed to develop differentiated, innovative, and personalized experiences that drive new value creation.

  • Manage design operations and resources within scope and schedule to provide efficiency and effectiveness while achieving design objectives.

  • Analyze how new features tie in with market needs and consumer preferences.

  • Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams.

  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes for mobile apps (iOS/Android) following the latest guidelines in the industry.

  • Test functionality for prototypes.

  • Modify and revise existing designs to meet changing customer preferences.

  • Work from a company-wide design system and craft beautiful product experiences.

  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, Product, Technology, Analytics and Support teams to build best-in-class experiences.

  • Assess current and planned roadmaps and recommend innovative and creative solutions; work with the Design team to integrate new experience concepts into overall planning.

  • Conduct user research and translate UX research and concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

  • Understand behavioral patterns and how to use market data to inform design conclusions.

  • Take part in QA testing and regression post implementation.

  • Follow the current design trends to identify new product improvement opportunities.

  • Establish frameworks to measure business success from the perspective of the user.

  • Promote a culture of partnership, teamwork, innovation and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Promote a highly collaborative, customer-centric, data-driven culture that challenges norms with a bias to action; support diversity of thoughts, experiences, and approaches to solve issues

  • Duly observe all applicable health and safety laws and regulations

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree (or equivalent) preferred or an equivalent combination of education and successful work experience

  • A reach portfolio that proves in-depth experience with up-to-date UI and UX design practices used for mobile apps

  • 4 years of experience in product design

  • Expertise in mobile app design and standard UX and UI software, predominantly Figma or Sketch. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus

  • Experience with design sprints and first-hand user testing

  • Attention to detail and ability to create pixel-perfect static and interactive prototypes

  • Deep understanding of Apple’s human interface design and Google’s Material Design

  • Knowledgeable and understanding of the most relevant research and service design methodologies and tools to enhance agility, human centricity and an experimental mindset.

  • Experience designing the end-to-end experiences of services and implementation, ideally across multiple digital touchpoints.

  • Hands-on experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to obtain evidence-based insights and translating them to develop and inform strategy and measurable outcomes.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to clearly articulate the complexities of a problem in a simplified way through impactful storytelling and visualizations (journey maps, service blueprints) to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels (including Leadership)

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team culture, and have the energy and flexibility to work within a global environment across cultures

  • Robust decision making - based on evidence and data

  • Passion for education and learning

  • Experience of working and thriving in a global matrix organization is a plus

  • Evident fluency in English, being confident in speaking, reading and writing communication
