Pearson Digital Marketing Intern in Canada

As a Digital Marketing Intern you will get to work with a variety of colleagues, while working on projects that will help us grow. Our ideal candidate is someone who excels in an online environment and enjoys building communities. While your focus will be on social media content and student events, you will occasionally be asked to assist with ongoing campaigns; copywriting and basic video editing skills are a bonus.

You will be at the forefront of new and improved efforts to reach Pearson’s end customers (the users of our resources): students. You understand the student community - and you want to help make their lives better! What’s in it for you? Beside compensation, this internship will grow your network and help you acquire marketing & communication skills, while providing you with knowledge of various marketing strategies.

As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for:

Social Media & Design

  • Create original design pieces, including illustrations and infographics. This role will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva

  • Develop clear and engaging content that helps build our student community and addresses learner needs

  • Support the development of our social media footprint on multiple channels, ensuring that you’re speaking to audience segments effectively and competently

  • Help grow new and existing social networks by increasing brand awareness and engagement rates

Events

  • Assist with the preparation, development and delivery of promotional materials for events

  • Support with outreach to, and management of, event speakers and moderators

  • Organize and participate in activation efforts at both virtual and in-person events

Other responsibilities

  • Assist with copywriting and video editing duties

As a Digital Marketing Intern, you possess:

  • A passion for making a difference through education

  • Ability to take on responsibility

  • Written and verbal communication skills, and willingness to reach out to stakeholders

  • Excellent organization & time-management skills and ability to work independently

  • Ability and willingness to tap into a wide network of students and become a social, vocal ambassador for the marketing team

  • An eye for design, with experience in Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud tools

  • Familiarity with various social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc) and social media marketing

  • Basic video editing skills (nice to have)
